The Health Check-up Center was established to meet the growing healthcare needs of the community in response to increasing environmental pollution, concerns over food safety, and the widespread availability of contaminated, spoiled, and untraceable food products. In addition, many foods are preserved using potentially harmful chemical additives.

Many diseases develop silently and may not present any symptoms in their early stages. In numerous cases, symptoms only become apparent when the disease has progressed to an advanced stage, making treatment more difficult or less effective. For these reasons, annual health check-ups are considered essential and have become a mandatory requirement for government officials, public employees, and workers.

At the International General Hospital, we offer a full range of health check-up packages, along with standards and adjustments that ensure your health check-up is always tailored to your needs.
The following guidelines will help you get the most effective results from your health check-up:
Please do not eat or drink anything for at least 8 hours before your health check-up, as this may affect the results (a small amount of water is permitted).

1. CHOOSE THE RIGHT PACKAGE
   – Please review the parameters that best match your needs and are most relevant to your health (see the standard package overview).
   – Packages are divided by gender along with additional sub-items.
   – Each package has a fixed price, unless you wish to request additional testing.
   – You may choose on your own or with the consultation of our doctors — please let our staff know if you would like a consultation beforehand.
2. GENERAL EXAMINATION PROCESS
   – First, you will be asked to fill out a form with your full name, age, lifestyle, medical history, and family history.
   – A nurse will check your height, weight, and blood pressure
   – You will be given a container to collect a urine sample. Please leave the urine sample in the sample collection room (if indicated).
   – Our nursing staff will continue to guide you through the examination and testing steps until all tests on your order form have been completed
   – Typically, blood will be drawn first, as this type of test requires more time to produce results.
   * NOTE:
   You can receive most results about 1 hour after sample collection is complete; however, some tests may take up to 3 hours.
   While your tests are being processed, you may receive individual result slips from the laboratory department, which is analyzing all of your test results (if undergoing a group health check-up, results will be collected afterward).
   Finally, you should see the diagnosing physician to review your overall check-up results (for group health check-ups, submit your file at the initial reception area).

   Please note that unmarried women will not undergo (Pap smear cervical cytology test, colposcopy, transvaginal ultrasound, etc.)
   Ultrasound
   When you come in for an ultrasound, please don’t worry — just follow the advice of our medical staff:
   – Ultrasound is a diagnostic method that is not harmful to the patient or the fetus, but its use must be clearly indicated by a doctor.
   – A clinical examination should be performed beforehand to properly indicate and guide the ultrasound for accuracy.
   – For obstetric/gynecological, urological, and abdominal ultrasounds, you will need to drink plenty of water and avoid urinating to fill the bladder before the ultrasound examination.
   – The gel applied to the skin during the ultrasound is non-toxic and will be wiped clean after the examination.
   – Ultrasound examinations can be repeated multiple times; when returning for a follow-up, please bring your previous results for comparison and continuous monitoring.
   Sample Collection
   – Blood draw:
   You will need to fast for 8 hours before the blood draw in order to obtain the most accurate results.
   Only a very small amount of blood is drawn, so you don’t need to worry about becoming anemic afterward.
   After the blood draw, you may go have breakfast, to avoid staying hungry for too long, as the overall check-up process for one person can take a while and fasting too long may cause fatigue.
   – Urine collection:
   Please only collect your urine sample after your ultrasound has been completed, to avoid collecting it beforehand — otherwise you may have to wait a long time for your bladder to refill enough for the ultrasound.
   Chest X-ray
   When undergoing a chest X-ray, you must remove all jewelry, watches, mobile phones, etc. You may leave these items at home, or hand them to a colleague, family member, or the X-ray department staff (who will provide a handover log) to hold for you, to avoid losing them after the X-ray. Please be sure to check carefully before collecting your belongings.
   You will need to remove all clothing from the upper body, so we provide a special gown for you to wear during the procedure (especially for female patients). If our staff happen to forget for any reason, please feel free to remind them — we would greatly appreciate it.
   *Pregnant women should not undergo X-ray imaging.
