The Department of Pharmacy at Hai Phong International General Hospital is staffed by highly trained pharmacists with strong professional expertise and a deep sense of responsibility. The department plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and adequate supply of medications for patient care while providing guidance and oversight to promote the safe and rational use of medicines. It also maintains strict compliance with regulations governing pharmaceutical inventory management, including medication procurement, storage, and distribution.

The hospital’s Clinical Pharmacy services continue to evolve and improve. The department regularly organizes pharmaceutical training programs for nursing staff, provides drug information and consultation for physicians, and delivers comprehensive medication counseling to patients. In addition, it serves as a clinical training and research center for pharmacy and medical students from universities in Vietnam and abroad. Department staff actively participate in professional conferences, conduct research initiatives, and organize continuing education programs to further strengthen pharmaceutical practice.

Looking ahead, the Department of Pharmacy remains committed to developing and implementing standardized operating procedures for all professional activities while continuously enhancing medication management to ensure the safe, cost-effective, and optimal use of medicines.

To further improve patient care, the Department of Pharmacy has collaborated with the hospital’s IT Department to implement an electronic prescription printing system. Prescriptions are entered directly by physicians and printed in a clear, legible format, eliminating issues caused by handwritten prescriptions and improving patient safety and convenience.
