The Department of Pharmacy at Hai Phong International General Hospital is staffed by highly trained pharmaceutical professionals who possess strong expertise and a deep sense of responsibility. The department consistently fulfills its role in ensuring the timely and adequate supply of medications for patient care while providing consultation and oversight to promote the safe, rational, and appropriate use of medicines. All pharmaceutical procurement, storage, distribution, and inventory management activities are conducted in full compliance with applicable regulations. Clinical pharmacy services continue to be strengthened and enhanced. The department regularly organizes pharmaceutical training programs for nurses, provides drug information updates for physicians, and offers dedicated pharmaceutical care and medication counseling to patients. It also serves as a clinical training and scientific research site for students from universities both in Vietnam and abroad. Department staff actively participate in professional conferences and independently conduct research projects and continuing education programs to further improve pharmaceutical knowledge and professional competencies. As part of its future development strategy, the Department of Pharmacy remains committed to developing and implementing standardized procedures for professional activities while continuously improving medication management practices to ensure that medicines are used safely, cost-effectively, and efficiently. To better serve patients, the Department of Pharmacy has collaborated with the Information Technology Department to implement a computerized prescription-labeling system. Medication instructions are printed directly from prescriptions entered by physicians, helping patients clearly understand their prescribed medications and eliminating issues caused by illegible handwritten prescriptions.
