Health Examination Services for Licensing and Certification at Hai Phong International General Hospital

This service was established to meet the growing healthcare needs of the community, which have become increasingly important due to environmental pollution, the declining ability to control food quality, and the widespread availability of unsafe, spoiled, and untraceable food products on the market. Many foods are also preserved using harmful chemical additives that may pose serious health risks.

In addition, many diseases develop gradually and show no symptoms in their early stages. Symptoms often become apparent only when the disease has progressed to an advanced stage, making treatment difficult or even impossible. For these reasons, annual health check-ups are considered essential and have become a mandatory requirement for all government officials, public servants, and employees.

At Hai Phong International General Hospital, we offer a comprehensive range of health check-up packages, from standard screening programs to customized options tailored to your individual needs.

The following guidelines will help ensure the most accurate and effective health check-up results:

Please do not eat or drink anything for at least 8 hours before your health check-up, as this may affect the test results. You may drink a small amount of water if necessary.

– Please review the health screening parameters that best meet your needs and are most relevant to your health condition (see the summary of the standard package).
– Health check-up packages are categorized by gender and further divided into specific sections.
– Each package has a fixed price unless you request additional examinations or tests.
– You may choose a package yourself or consult with one of our physicians. Please inform our staff in advance if you would like to meet with a doctor before your examination.

General Examination Process

– First, you will be asked to complete a form providing information such as your full name, age, lifestyle, medical history, and family medical history.

– A nurse will measure your height, weight, and blood pressure.

– You will be given a specimen container for urine collection. Please submit your urine sample at the designated collection area if required.

– Our nursing staff will continue to guide you through the examination and testing procedures until all tests specified in your examination request form have been completed.

– Blood samples are usually collected first, as these tests generally require more time to process.

* NOTES:

Most test results are available approximately 1 hour after sample collection. However, some tests may take up to 3 hours to complete.

While your tests are being processed, you may receive individual result slips from the laboratory department, where your samples are being analyzed. (For group health check-ups, results will be collected and delivered later.)

Finally, you should meet with the physician for a consultation and a comprehensive review of your health check-up results. (For group health check-ups, please submit your completed documents to the original reception desk.)

Note: Unmarried women are not required to undergo gynecological procedures such as cervical cytology (Pap smear), colposcopy, transvaginal ultrasound, and related examinations.

Ultrasound Examination

When you come for an ultrasound examination, please do not worry and follow the guidance of our physicians:

– Ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive diagnostic method for both patients and pregnant women. However, it should only be performed when specifically prescribed by a physician.

– A clinical examination should be conducted beforehand to ensure the ultrasound is appropriately indicated and accurately targeted.

– For obstetric, urinary tract, and abdominal ultrasounds, patients should drink plenty of water and refrain from urinating before the examination so that the bladder is adequately filled.

– The ultrasound gel applied to the skin is non-toxic and will be cleaned off after the examination.

– Ultrasound examinations may be repeated as needed. When returning for a follow-up examination, please bring your previous results for comparison and continuous monitoring.

Sample Collection

Blood Sample Collection

– You should fast for at least 8 hours before blood collection to ensure the most accurate test results.

– Only a small amount of blood is required for testing, so there is no risk of becoming anemic after the procedure.

– After blood collection, you may have breakfast. Avoid prolonged fasting, as the health check-up process may take some time and could cause fatigue.

Urine Sample Collection

– Please provide your urine sample only after completing your ultrasound examination. If you provide a sample beforehand, you may need to wait a long time for your bladder to refill sufficiently for the ultrasound procedure.

Chest X-ray Examination

When undergoing a chest X-ray, you must remove all jewelry, watches, mobile phones, and other metal objects. You may leave these items at home or ask a colleague, family member, or the radiology department staff (with proper handover documentation) to keep them safe during the examination. Please carefully check your belongings before collecting them.

You will be required to remove your upper clothing for the examination. We provide specialized gowns for patients to wear during the procedure, especially female patients. If our staff forgets to provide one for any reason, please feel free to remind them—we would greatly appreciate it.

*Pregnant women should not undergo X-ray examinations.
