Overview
Located on the 3rd Floor of the hospital, the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Functional Exploration provides diagnostic imaging services using conventional X-ray systems, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for a wide range of specialties, including neurology, gastroenterology, respiratory medicine, urology, emergency medicine, and critical care. The department also performs angiography and interventional radiology procedures such as embolization, angioplasty, and vertebroplasty.
The Department of Diagnostic Imaging operates with the goal of delivering the most advanced, accurate, and clinically valuable imaging applications and diagnostic services to physicians and patients.
The department continuously implements both cutting-edge imaging technologies and established diagnostic techniques from around the world, ensuring examinations are performed rapidly, safely, efficiently, and with the highest diagnostic accuracy.
The Department is equipped with a wide range of advanced and modern diagnostic imaging systems, including 3.0 Tesla MRI, 1.5 Tesla Ingenia MRI (Philips), multi-slice CT scanners (UCT 90+, 128-slice Aquilion CXL MSCT – Toshiba), and other state-of-the-art technologies that provide exceptionally clear images and high diagnostic accuracy.
All imaging data are stored within an integrated digital system and seamlessly connected across the hospital network, enabling physicians to access patient information easily and facilitate rapid multidisciplinary consultations.
Digital X-ray Imaging
- X-ray examinations for diagnostic evaluation of the skull, sinuses, chest, abdomen, spine, and extremities.
- Fluoroscopic imaging: contrast studies of the esophagus and stomach, contrast-enhanced colon examinations, and urinary tract imaging (Intravenous Urography – IVU).
- Mammography: screening and early detection of breast cancer.
- Bone densitometry: measurement of bone mineral density, commonly used for the diagnosis and monitoring of osteoporosis.

- Thyroid ultrasound

Computed Tomography (CT)
- CT scans of the brain, ear–nose–throat region, and head and neck
- CT scans of the spine (cervical, thoracic, and lumbar regions)
- CT scans of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis
- CT scans of bones and joints
- CT Angiography (CTA): cerebral arteries, carotid arteries, aorta, renal arteries, upper extremity arteries, lower extremity arteries, and pulmonary arteries
- Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring CT
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- MRI of the brain, head, and neck: evaluation of neurological disorders, ENT conditions, orbital diseases, and head and neck pathologies.
- Cardiac MRI.
- MRI of the spine and spinal cord (cervical, thoracic, and lumbar regions).
- MRI of the abdomen and pelvis: assessment of liver, biliary, and pancreatic diseases; rectal and anal disorders; urinary tract diseases; uterine and adnexal conditions; prostate disorders; and more.
- Musculoskeletal MRI: evaluation of diseases affecting bones, joints, and soft tissues of the upper and lower extremities.
- Magnetic Resonance Angiography and Venography (MRA, MRV): imaging of cerebral arteries and veins, carotid arteries, the aorta, visceral arteries, and peripheral arteries.
- Breast MRI.
- In addition, the Department performs interventional procedures using the DSA system, including drainage procedures, therapeutic injections, decompression procedures, biopsies, and other image-guided interventions.

The Department of Diagnostic Imaging provides a comprehensive range of high-quality imaging services for both inpatients and outpatients of all ages. The department is staffed by highly skilled radiologists and imaging technologists who have received specialized professional training in diagnostic imaging.
