Overview

Located on the Mezzanine Floor of Hai Phong International General Hospital, the Eye Center features a dedicated, spacious, and elegant design. Building upon the outstanding strengths of Hai Phong International General Hospital, the Eye Center has become an ophthalmology center that meets international standards, providing high-quality eye care services for people of all ages.

Highly Qualified and Experienced Medical Team

The Eye Center brings together a team of specialists and physicians with extensive experience in ophthalmology, strong professional expertise, excellent clinical skills, and a dedicated, patient-centered approach. The team includes three ophthalmologists, comprising two Master’s degree holders and one specialist physician; one optometrist with a bachelor’s degree; and four ophthalmic nurses with university and college qualifications.

In particular, the Center is led by MSc. MD. Hoang Thi Hai Ha, former Medical Director of Sai Gon – Ha Noi Eye Hospital, where she worked from 2009 to 2021.

    1. Outpatient Services
    • Refraction testing and visual acuity assessment
    • Retinoscopy and prescription eyewear services
    • Comprehensive eye examinations
    • Fundus examination and screening for retinal and vitreous disorders
    • Intraocular pressure measurement
    • Anterior chamber angle examination (gonioscopy)
    • Ophthalmic diagnostic imaging techniques: non-fluorescein fundus photography, ocular ultrasound, anterior and posterior segment OCT imaging, and visual field testing
    • Minor procedures: incision and drainage of chalazion, stye, and eyelid abscesses in adults and children; meibomian gland expression; lacrimal duct irrigation and probing
    • Posterior capsule laser treatment; laser peripheral iridotomy and selective laser trabeculoplasty for glaucoma management
    1. Inpatient Treatment
    • Phacoemulsification surgery for cataract treatment
    • Trabeculectomy for glaucoma treatment
    • Intravitreal injections for the treatment of endophthalmitis, diabetic macular edema, central retinal vein occlusion, choroidal neovascularization, and other retinal conditions
    • Surgical repair of traumatic conjunctival, corneal, and scleral injuries
    • Surgery for primary, recurrent, and double pterygium
    • Surgical correction of congenital entropion in children and involutional entropion in older adults
    • Eyelid surgery for excess skin and eyelid fat bags
    • Chalazion and stye surgery in children under general anesthesia
    • Treatment of severe ocular medical conditions such as corneal ulcers and uveitis

    • Prescription glasses for myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia, including bifocal and progressive lenses
    • Myopia control lenses
    • Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) lenses to slow myopia progression
