Located on the 5th Floor of the hospital, the Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation features 10 interconnected operating rooms designed according to clean-room standards and built to meet stringent international healthcare requirements, including one-way traffic flow systems and antibacterial flooring in operating areas.

The operating rooms are divided into two categories:

Operating rooms equipped with positive-pressure ventilation systems for procedures requiring absolute sterility, and operating rooms equipped with negative-pressure systems for patients undergoing surgery related to infectious diseases. All operating rooms are fitted with advanced LED surgical lighting systems.

The operating rooms, post-anesthesia care units, and intensive care areas are designed in accordance with international standards, enabling the performance of highly complex procedures such as gastrointestinal surgery, urological surgery, cardiovascular surgery, and organ transplantation.

An integrated telemedicine and video conferencing system allows domestic and international physicians and medical experts to collaborate and provide real-time consultation during surgical procedures.

Medical Team

The Department is staffed by highly experienced and professionally trained anesthesiologists and resuscitation specialists. The nursing team consists of 26 nurses, including 15 anesthesia and resuscitation nurses and 11 surgical instrument nurses.

The Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation performs surgical procedures on a daily basis, with major surgeries accounting for the largest proportion. These include gastrointestinal and urological surgeries, otorhinolaryngology (ENT) procedures, gastrectomy, colectomy, hepatectomy, laser ureteral stone removal, urogenital surgeries, thyroid surgery, breast surgery, as well as anesthesia services for diagnostic and interventional endoscopy of the gastrointestinal and respiratory systems, including airway foreign body removal and bronchial tumor biopsy procedures.

In particular, the Hospital collaborates with Viet Duc University Hospital in performing complex surgical procedures involving hepatobiliary diseases, gastric disorders, and musculoskeletal conditions, such as total gastrectomy, partial hepatectomy, total hip replacement, and arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction.
