The Pediatrics Department of Hai Phong International General Hospital has a strong team of experts and doctors, not only from Hai Phong but also from the National Children’s Hospital in Hanoi. The Head of the Pediatrics Department, Specialist II Dr. Pham Van Diep, has over 30 years of experience in pediatrics, having worked at Hai Phong Children’s Hospital, and together with a professional team of doctors and nurses, has always been a trusted choice for parents throughout Hai Phong city. In addition, the Pediatrics Department also has a team of doctors from Hanoi’s National Children’s Hospital who come to examine and treat patients at the hospital every week, in order to best meet patients’ needs.

The pediatric inpatient area is located on the 7th floor of Hai Phong International General Hospital, with complete infrastructure and top-tier amenities designed specifically for children, including 22 inpatient rooms and 1 VIP room. All rooms are equipped according to a hospital-hotel model, including a living area, bathroom, toilet, TV, refrigerator, wardrobe, and modern hospital beds, providing the most comfortable and convenient experience possible. The corridors and rooms feature specially designed cartoon-themed decor, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for children.

The team of doctors and nurses in the Pediatrics Department includes not only specialists and experts from Hai Phong but also leading doctors from Hanoi. With a spirit of dedication and always being close at hand for the children, the hospital has equipped each bed with a nurse call button, and doctors and nurses are always ready to be present at any time, regardless of how urgent the situation. Every morning, doctors go room to room, directly examining and consulting on each child’s case. Following this, the nursing team continues to monitor patients and administer medication, ensuring correct dosages and timing 24/7. In order to provide the best possible care services, the hospital has invited leading experts and doctors from Hanoi’s National Children’s Hospital to come and directly examine and treat patients at the hospital every day of the week.

The outpatient examination area is located on the Mezzanine floor (between the 1st and 2nd floors of the hospital), next to the vaccination area and the postnatal women’s health care area. The examination area has a total of 3 consultation rooms, including:

– A consultation room staffed directly by specialist doctors from Hanoi’s National Children’s Hospital

– A consultation room staffed directly by the Head of the Pediatrics Department and doctors of Hai Phong International General Hospital.

The examination area has been specially designed by experts in a model tailored specifically for children. It includes a play area for children to use while waiting for their examination, and the consultation rooms are decorated with eye-catching and appealing patterns, creating a comfortable and approachable atmosphere for children — eliminating the anxiety and fear often associated with medical examinations.

Equipped with modern machinery and equipment, the Pediatric Surgery Area performs dozens of surgeries and procedures every day, carried out directly by pediatric surgery specialists. After undergoing surgery, children are transferred directly to the 7th-floor inpatient area to continue receiving treatment and monitoring care from the hospital’s team of doctors and nurses.
